Wayne was a special person intelligent creative and persistent.  He hired me at Motorola back in 1977.  It was always interesting to listen to his stories about when he work for Collins radio on air plane radios when the plane was on the runway.  He was old school they don't make them like that anymore,
I'm glad I knew him and feel fortunate he was part of my career at Motorola as a supervisor and as a mentor

Praise God for the people He puts in your life!  Wayne was a terrific mentor and example for me in my Motorola days.  His shared memories were incredible and his mild mannerisms mixed with an occasional practical joke kept you on your toes.  His spoken and lived testimony of his relationship with the Lord was a real blessing.

My condolences to Wayne's family for your loss.

I worked with Wayne at Motorola from 1989 up until his retirement and afterwards we communicated with Christmas cards every year until one of his daughters informed me he was no longer able to reply.

Wayne was a wonderful man who taught me a lot in my formative days at Motorola where I fabricated test equipment and assisted Wayne in troubleshooting. I have never met such a man who was never discouraged, upset or frustrated when some proposed fix didn't work. He would simply suggest trying something different as many times as it took until something worked. He was very dedicated and calmly persevered. He was extremely intelligent and a quiet, kind and caring soul.

Wayne also had a bit of a mischievous streak. On several occasions where I had my head buried in some piece of test gear where I was already a bit nervous working closely with high voltage, Wayne would quietly walk up behind me and loudly clap his hands, scaring the daylights out of me on several occasions. I was never mad and in fact we both shared a good laugh.

You will be missed my friend. Thank you for many years of friendship and stories.

Your friend Jeff
